5 Best Bagels near Prospect Park

Planning on spending time at one of Brooklyn's greatest attractions, Prospect Park? There's no better way to do so than with a hot, fresh Brooklyn Bagel! Here is the ultimate guide to the best Bagels near Prospect Park:

1. Bagel Pub

Bagel Pub has one of the widest selections of bagels and cream cheeses of any shop in NYC. Bonus: there are three locations near Prospect Park to choose from (and 4 overall, including their location in Sunset Park across the street from Industry City). Nothing gets a Bagel-lover more hyped than the signature MOUNTAINS of cream cheese at the Crown Heights location, pictured below:

2. Olde Brooklyn Bagel Shoppe

The bagels at Olde Brooklyn are always fresh with generous amounts of toppings.. But what separates them from the rest of the pack is their signature za'atar bagel and cream cheese.
Za'atar is a traditional Middle Easter spice, "generally a combination of dried oregano, thyme, and/or marjoram (woodsy and floral), with sumac (tangy and acidic) and toasted sesame seeds (nutty and rich)" according to Bon Apetite. You won't find a bagel like this, pictured below, anywhere else. These were a huge hit at the 1st Annual Brooklyn BagelFest.

3. Terrace Bagels

A classic establishment on the Southwest side of Prospect Park, Terrace has the biggest, fluffiest bagels on this list. As well as a huge selection of deli specials, drinks, and coffees. They've also got one of the largest indoor seating areas you'll ever see at a Bagel shop- you're virtually guaranteed to get a seat inside. Impossible to understate understate how nice of a perk that is.

4. Bagel Hole

One of the most well known Bagel shops in Brooklyn. Quintessential New York Bagel-experience. Traditional, smaller bagel with a nice crunch. Generous portions of lox. You'll find scant few pictures of the inside because, as the employees will immediately remind you as soon as a phone comes out, "no pictures allowed!"

5. La Bagel Delight

Rounding out the Top 5 is La Bagel Delight, with 5 total locations in Brooklyn, 2 of which are located a few blocks from each other on 7th Ave.  Established in 1986 and family-owned the whole time. They couldn't be around for over 30 years if they weren't doing something really, really right.
The three additional shops are located in Fort Greene, DoBro (aka Downtown Brooklyn), and Dumbo
